The “Antiques Roadshow” (Mon., 8 p.m. ET on PBS) stopped in Minneapolis Monday night where it gave regular viewer Lesley a bit of a shock.

She had brought her engagement ring to be appraised and discovered that it was potentially worth a fortune. The ring featured a large yellow diamond that she chose on a trip to New York City in 1976 with her then-fiance.

Lesley said she’s not married any more and hadn’t worn the ring in 20 years. She had no idea that the diamond was an extremely valuable 3.4 carats, which, the apppraiser said, could fetch as much as $160,000 at auction.

Lesley was so astonished she just couldn’t take it all in. “Oh my gosh,” she said. “I just can’t even believe that.” Later, she said “I am absolutely in shock.”
