(Best Syndication News) Mortgage interest rates were lower today while lenders adapted to the changing marketplace (see mortgage rate charts below). Bank of America raised their rates while SunTrust lowered them.
Stock prices started the day lower, but by the closing bell only the tech-heavy NASDAQ ended higher. Investors are still worried about jobs.
The ADP employment change report indicated that private businesses added only 119,000 jobs in April. This is down from a revised figure of 201,000 in March and well below analyst expectations of 170,000.
