(Best Syndication News) – A widespread BMW recall was announced today for an electrical fire hazard that needs to be repaired and inspected. The models involved are the 2004-2009 BMW 5 Series, the 2010 5-Series, the 2004-2010 6 Series, the 2006-2010 M5, and the 2007-2010 M6 vehicles. A total of 367,682 vehicles are involved in this recall.
The problem is that a positive battery cable might have been incorrectly attached and could loosen over time. This loosening could cause an increase in electrical resistance at the cable connection point. The cable connection could overheat and potentially catch on fire. The fire could happen when it is not being used.
