Michelle Obama had a bustling 2011 as she kicked off her “Let’s Move!” campaign and traveled across the country taking on a variety of good causes while acing some seriously chic ensembles.

After starting off the year at the state dinner in a red Alexander McQueen, Mrs. O continued to embrace color, wearing the famous purple Maria Pinto dress from 2008 and several others like it.

Purple also appeared at an October state dinner in the form of a Doo.Ri gown.

Later in the year, FLOTUS also wore some beautiful patterns in Hawaii and made her now-famous shopping trip to Target — see? Michelle’s just like us.
