(Best Syndication News) – Los Angeles and Orange County residents may have felt the earthquake today, September 9, 2011 at approximately 1:47 PM local time with a 4.2 magnitude. Shortly thereafter, there were two more tremors, a 2.6 magnitude and a 2.9 magnitude occurred in the same area. The recent earthquake activity today in Los Angeles was only four miles from San Fernando, California.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) logged the exact location of the 4.2 earthquake as 34.339°N, 118.475°W with a depth of 4.5 miles. Nearby reports said that the earthquake felt weak to light.
At 01:53 PM, local time there was a 2.6 magnitude aftershock. Then around 02:35 PM local time, another 2.9 magnitude aftershock occurred. This aftershock initially measured 3.0 by was later downgraded.
