(Best Syndication News) – GE along with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced a voluntary recall for approximately 174,000 GE Profile and GE Monogram brand dishwashers because of a potential fire danger. There have been five consumers that have reported fires from these recalled dishwashers.
There is a problem with water condensation which can get onto the electronic control board. This can then cause a short circuit which could cause a connector to overheat and possibly catch on fire. Because of the seriousness of the problem the CPSC recommends consumers that have the recalled dishwashers to stop using it and to disconnect the power by shutting off the circuit breaker or fuse until you can get the problem fixed or resolved with GE.
